help....I have a 97 gmc 5.7 L and I have problems with starting it when its cold...it started when it would rain out that night...it would be hard to start...would cough and spit but would start with some effort and the code 1351 would pop up....started when it rained but just lately it started to do it after sitting all night.....runs fine after started...it does seem to have a small miss when shifting when cold in lower gears.....fine when warm........I recently had to replace spark plug wires and ignition control module and and dis cap....am wondering if coil or module is faulty or has a glitch.....any ideas......

Post the engine size when starting a thread. Ok, 1351 refers to est issues, check this link. http://service.gm.com/gmspo/mode6/pdf/1997/97t57R_LD_yE.pdf. Check all the wiring around the module installation.

I know it says high voltage .....wonder if the electronic control module can do such a code or the coil....I replaced both of them and the problem started.........wiring and connections seem ok
