Wierd Problems

Ok ill attempt to give as much detail about the problems my car (92 88' royale OLDs) has had the last sevral months. Ok first my car had a check engine light on but it would go off and on randomly (it seemed to come on when i acceled but im not sure) also for sometimes when i pressed the gas (getting on freeway and such) the amp light would blink. Ok but last month I was driving back from school about to get gas when my car died, i figured i ran out of gas because the fuel gage on my car is really horrible, so i attempted to turn on my hazards but nothing so i pushed it into the gas station and got gas , my battery seemed to be dead (i thought maybe running 0out of gas might cause the battery to die somehow?) so i had my friend give me a jump latter that night. The jump worked and i drove home woke up the next morning and my battery was dead again, so this time i thought it must be a bad battery or atternator (so i charged the battery and drove it for a while hopeing tat the battery was fine and that i just didnt let it jump long enough), well i was driv9ing to school sevral days after and had just got off the offramp sitting at a light, my cars radio suddenly shut off, then acted as if it had no gas (chugging and stuff) so i pulled over and had my car towed to my brothers house where we removed the battery and alternator and had them tested , both checked out fine. the place charged my battery (told me it only had 11 amps or somthing) and i put my alternator and battery back and it worked for another week
So now here is my problem, yesterday i drove my car , it was fine, i turned it off and went to drive to my school that night, the lights came on but it wouldn't turn over (my temp gage freaks out sometimes when i turn the key), wat could it be my dash lights come on (oh my check engine light works but wasnt on last time i drove it , accualy it hasnt been back on since i had my battery tested (i was waiting for it to come on to get my car diagnosed), but anyway my dash lights work , my car beeps to shut the door and everything wat could it be , PLS help , thnak you very much for even giving this to the time to read =)


(oh the amp light blinking stopped a while before all these problems happened)

Welcome to AF. Sounds like a bad ground at the battery or chassis or a bad positive cable, negative cable, or the alternator will not charge under load, all these things must be checked out as these the are basic diagnostic steps for this condition.
