05 Camry SE JBL stero question

Just bought an 05 Camry SE. The radio says JBL on it but the stero doesn't sound as nice as my 04 LE. The regular stereo in my 04 Camry LE sounds much better to the extent we have to turn the bass down. The new car seems to barely have any bass.

I have tried a couple of basic things like adjust fade/balance. The rear speakers do have sound but they don't sound as good as the front do.

I guess my question is, can anyone quide me on where or what to look for? I have searched the forums and haven't found much about JBL problems. Does the basic SE have any upgraded system like an amp or better speakers or is it just the name on the front? I was hoping the JBL would sound even better than my other one but that isn't the case. Might have to just upgrade the speakers.

Thanks

Sounds like a bad radio or bad spekers. I have an 07 with upgraded JBL it sounded grate but it had interminit problems from the start. Would lose sound until turned of then on. Next it lost rear speakers. When it was off and parked it stunk up the car like burning wires. now it is getting replaced under warranty. Do you have any warranty left ? I dont know ware to get it checked out cheep maby somone has a seggistion.

"I have tried a couple of basic things like adjust fade/balance."

Sorry for the obvious question, but have you actually tried adjusting the base, treble and midrange? These can all be sdjusted.

Yeah, I have them all on 5. I am going to pull the rear speakers down and see if I can find an amp, if it has one. I think I saw something where it is would be in the right foot well.

You might as well buy a new amp and speakers. I rather spend more money on a good system instead of trying to repair the stock system.

If you don't want to, just get some new speakers and wirings. It could be that the previous owner blew out the speakers.
