wheel stud replacementaggreX 06-07-2008, 12:05 PM I usually double check my lug nuts for "excessive torquing" after the tire guys finish installing my tires. I figure its better to know now than during a road trip. One stud snapped off after I used extra effort to loosen a potentially cross-threaded stud. I could go back and waste about 4-6 hours discussing this with the service manager and waiting in line or fix it myself. Any suggestions on how difficult it will be to remove the (REAR Wheel)broken stud from a 2002 Altima 3.5 SE? I am hoping I can knock it out without removing the rotor and information from the forum has stated ez tips for reinstallation using washers and a wrench, etc. Thanks inafogg 06-07-2008, 03:38 PM hello, not to diffecult but caliper & rotor must be removed to replcae stud. you said brake rotor so i'm assusing its rear disc brakes aggreX 06-07-2008, 06:40 PM hello, not to diffecult but caliper & rotor must be removed to replcae stud. you said brake rotor so i'm assusing its rear disc brakes Thanks for the tip on the rear disc. I will attempt to replace the relatively inexpensive stud/bolt as the retail price was very reasonable at the Nissan dealer. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
