Scott, I really don't them. They are butt ass ugly. It looks like they got beaten by an ugly stick before coming out of the factory.

Post Whore :finger: I did mention that shortly after that post which was about 2 months ago.:rolleyes: I'm sure the others feel the same.

I like the 2003 model. They took of all the grey plastic moldings and put on Euro style moldings(same color as the rest of the car). Which makes the Aztec look 50% better.

I don't know why, but I just can't stand that car. Ford should come out with the Olmec, and build it butt ugly to compete with the Aztek.

The car isnt that bad. I got a good idea...at least half the threads in the Aztec forum are Aztec bashing threads right?. We all understand... you people think it's ugly, so, get over it. Make something constuctive of your time online and distribute useful information throughout the forum. All you who hate this car have told us time and time again that you don't like it. Ok, when the car first came out it was funny. But come on, is this all you got to do is bash one car over and over again? Its getting kind of old after 2 years. Understand this: Just because you think it's ugly means nothing. It all depends on what the person buying the car thinks. I for one don't mind them. I've driven them and they are a great ride. You've probably never set foot in one due to your apparent hatred for them. If you are saying you hate this soley because you say it's "ugly" then I honestly dont think you have a good reason to hate it. A car should be more about drivability. It's not as ugly as some cars out there. I for one think the Cadillac CTS is ugly, does that make my thought worth anything? No.

Its not that we think it's ugly, it is ugly, and it was intended to be ugly from the first pencil scratch on the drawing board. You see, designers sometimes reach a point in which they are "stuck in a rutt" and they have to build something that will stir controversy like that new Cadillac and those horrid Bangled BMWs. They build something to be different so those pickled-mush-head consumers helplesly pull the money out of their pocket on impulse. Did you know that the Aztec outsold the Trans Am? GM is pure genious!
Honestly the car has no aesthetic apeal, and I mean that in the nicest possible way!!

What part of "opinion" don't you understand? There is no factg that the car is ugly. Its the fact that in YOUR opinion you the car is ugly. Perhaps your opinion totally explains why your driving junk(Ford), not to mention an ugly car your driving. IN MY OPINION that is. It was assinine to start this thread in the first place so can one of you moderators please end it? Its very pointless to say over and over again that the car is ugly. Because, NOBODY CARES. Now, you cant very well read those two statements and tell me you arent saying those as if they are fact. Saying "it is ugly" means that it's factually known, which isn't true because not everyone agrees on it, so really it's not fact. And a guy I work withs' parents just purchased an Aztek because they liked the looks. But they have no appeal whatsoever:rolleyes: Opinions are welcome, as long as they are stated as such.

You see, there are people among us that have absoulutely no clue as to what aesthetics actually are. For that group of people, the Aztec was made. This is the same group of people that if shown a heavily distorted copy of Michaelangelo's David and the original, they could not see the difference for the life of them. Their mind's capacity to understand 3 dimmensional objects is severely limited, like if it never quite develloped.

Yeah, your right. This site is all about opinions. But going on and on for two years? You don't think it gets old and annoying? It does. As I said, it was funny when the car first came out two years ago. But its stupid and immature now. And guess what, now that you have stated that same opinion 400 times... nobody cares! And I made ONE, yes one comment about your car. Im not being sensitive, Im trying to help you. Not to be mean, but you do really make yourself sound stupid and silly.

I just bought one this weekend and I love it. Every day I love it more and more, and the more people wince at it, the more I love it. I've always thought they were sharp looking, but the test drive cinched it for me. For those of you in doubt, drive one, then comment on it.

For what its worth, I also drove the Element, and found it to be extremely unimpressive. The engine is very weak, and the comfort level is well, nonexistent. Driving the Aztek makes the Element not even register as a viable automobile.

I think most Aztek owners are like me, too. I think if you get sickened by an automobile that someone else is driving, then you deserve that discomfort for being such a complete sheepish idiot. *I* am the kind of person who gets sick of mediocrity and cookie cutter SUVs that all look alike. Basically, if you like being low key and easily blending in with everyone else, do not buy an Aztek, it's not for you.

If i could afford one right now, i would buy an aztec....well if i ever needed one for family reasons or something....hehe

I like them, as well as everyone else who has ever bought one, we need to start having used car lot aztec sightings to see if we ever see one in a used car lot, which will not be very many.

GM is offering CRAZY incentives on them now, as with most of their pontiacs to get the 04's in. I got mine for under 20k on the road.

If you're serious, you should consider it.

Umm... Josh, just to let you know.... TenNis has Two N's in it...

Josh just bught to light my one major hate of the Aztek- he called it an SUV- yet 4WD is only optional (If not even availalbe anymore) and has about as much chance offroad as a Focus- What is the point? All you are oing is raising the Center of Gravity, softening the suspension and increasing body roll :confused:

And yes it is ugly and the 3.4 is pathetic :smile:

I know the 3.4 sucks, i was misinformed. I was under the impression it had the inline six. I would still own one over any other family vehicle on the market. I'm done with this thread, it's pointless arguing with people when they done respect knowledgeable opinions on stuff like this.:mad:

Hey why does the 3.4 suck? Im asking not to be combative, but seriously. I own one, so I want all the bad news up front. I mean, I'm pleased with the performance. It's not sports car performance but it blows away what I -was- driving. What are the downsides to the 3.4?

The 3.4 sucks becuase it has to many moving parts in the front end and is prone to failures of the timing chain idler pulleys, shoes, and tensioner actuatorrs.

Are you talking about the LA1 Truck Engine "3400" ?

If so, is there any advice on how to maintain it properly to minimize failures? Like, synthetic ol, steam cleanings, etc?
