Iam replacing a crank sensor on a 91 Pa 3800. My reference manual says that to adjust the Gap it requires a special tool. Can this be set with feeler gauges or is this a new tool item?

Good info on this at autozone.com, repair guides.

The FSM & AZ site (http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/15/e4/2d/0900823d8015e42d/repairInfoPages.htm), recommends using the crankshaft sensor installation tool J 37089 or equivalent. Click Here (http://www.toolsource.com/crankshaft-sensor-adjustment-balancer-checker-p-95542.html?osCsid=61tcv6qkf4n0ilfo424vke1bd4) for a view & price. Obviously, this tool is too expensive for the DIY job. Click Here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=618623) for an alternate "rubber band" method. Be sure to check the interrupter rings for any bent tabs or other damage. Good Luck!

Thanks for the Info, never would have figured that one. Have done the Paper gap with ABS sensors and it works. Learn something New every once in a while.
