Peugeot 307WRC #8 expert Monte 2006

I am starting this kit in between the spiderman bike as the decals got to me a bit and i need to get away from the bike for a while and do a car build so i have packed away the bike and made a start on this

it is the standard 307 kit from tamiya with the studio 27 decals for the Peugeot 307WRC #8 expert Monte 2006 i saw this buit on another forum a while ago and i liked the orange colour and decided to get the decals

i have made a start on the body i have sanded the seam line and primed it with halfords grey primer

dont worry i didnt have to many magners before i started spraying


than have decided to go with the halfords paint again for the orange it is Peugeot saville orange the closert colour i could find a match to i normally dont like rattle cans as you cant control the paint going on as we as a airbrush but as it is just one coat i went with the can

Am I reading right that you decalled and did panel lines before you are clearcoating?

thanks guys yes thats right i paint the body first ,then i use a klear coat of future floor polish,

then paint in the panel lines with black enamel let dry for a little while not to dry and with white spirits wipe at a angle to the panel line the excess paint leaving the black in the panel lines, then i decaled once thats dry i will beputting a coat off future over the whole thing and i polish it up with car wax it comes out with a nice shine here is what it comes out like after final polish

Above: Is a raer mudgaurd of a yzr500 i kleared over the c/f i produced the c/f buy spaying black first the stretching a pair of the wifes tights(stockings)over the part and sppraying very lightly gunmeatal over the tights to get the pattern of c/f then klear was sprayed on

it is just a method i have brought from my aircraft building days

I really like this livery. Well done.
Now we only need some outdoor pics to fully enjoy it ;)

im not happy with the orange paint i made the mistake of using grey primer instead of white never mind remember for next time

nice...everthing looks good :smile: especialy the decals, if u dint mention bcoz of the grey primer i thought becoz of the lighthing the orange kinda tone down...so white primer is a must :cool: for bright orange

Looks great to me, makes a change from the usual livery.
