i own a 2000 alero and have tried two different sets of 20's. the first set were 20/9.5 and def wouldn work so i tried a 7.5w rim but a 35 series tire, and when i lowerd the car down the strut tower still rested on the tire. IS THERE ANYWAY TO GET A SET OF 20'S ON MY CAR W/0 REPLACING THE STRUT TOWER? DO I NEED A SMALLER TIRE OR WHAT.... PLEASE HELP

Welcome to AF.

Good question. From what I understand there are many Aleros out there with 20" wheels. They probably used a wheel spacer. Beats me. Go to CarDomain and check with the guys that have them. You can see what they did to get them to fit.

Personally I don't know why you would run 20" because it changes the handling and ride characteristics of the car too much. I know for a fact 18" is no issue. We have aftermarket 18" American Racing MSR wheels with Kumho Ecsta ASX Z rated tires P225/40-R18. Wheel width 7.5" and +40mm offset.

Twenties are a big tire to try and stuff in the wheel wells. Wheel spacers are and option, a not so nice option is adjusting the camber of the wheels. Both options are a poor solution though.
