99 Breeze Stalls

I have a 99 Breeze 2.0l engine. Once it gets up to running temperature, it will stall (no gas). The funny thing is it will do it about every 3 minutes like clock work. As soon as you turn the key off and restart it, you are fine again for 3 mins. It originally had a code that the upstream O2 sensor was bad. Replaced it, still does the same thing. Swapped out the Map sensor, still does the same thing. If I unplug the O2 sensor it runs fine and is getting 23 mpg. I have also replace the fuel filter. The engine idles smooth. Problem is we have emissions testing, so I have to fix it. It was suggested that it might be a bad ECM. If that is the problem, can someone tell me where it is? My repair manual doesn't specify it. There are two boxes, one each side of the relay block. My Hayes manual says the one on the right is the "Powertrain Control Module", but doesn't identify the one on the left. I looked up the part number on the internet and it says it's the transmission control (and it did look like the picture).
Any help would be appreciated...

auto or manuel transmission? if its a automatic, the left one is the transmission control module, pcm (power control module) is another name for the ech (engine control moduel)
