Can anyone tell me where to start?I would just like to add, that after sitting for a few hours, the car just started up as normal...Still curious as to what could cause this? Camshaft../..Crankshaft sensors?

Only way to tell is to check for spark/injector pulse when this occurs again.

Thanks..I will check....I guess I can get a spark tester for the spark pulse..How can I check for injector pulse?

Thanks

A noid lite, fairly cheap tool, plugs in the injector connector.

I'm still trying to find time to check for spark / injector pulse on this....
I will check tonight..

I wanted to add that I just noticed a substance(sealant or liquid) dripping out from between the ingnition coil and module. Will this require me to replace the coil / ignition module regardless of my problem?

Thanks

Could be, pull off the module see where it is coming from.

Pulled off Ignition Module...A big mess, looks like a lot of melted plastic goop has flowed down to the bottom, underside.....covering the connectors on the bottom....Should I try to clean out of this stuff or do I need to replace the whole thing?

Also, finally checked for a spark while starting.....NO SPARK...While engine is hot

Thanks

Replace it, not a used one either.

After a closer look at the back of the coil (after removal)....it looks like it's got a few cracks on it, near where the liquid is coming from....

Replaced coil....since it was the source of the leaking substance..It had a few cracks in it........Still wont' start while hot. Should I still replace Ignition module

Went ahead and replaced Ignition Module since it was a mess, kind of full of melted plastic...Still have the no start while hot problem.

So far, New:
Coil Pack
Ignition Module

From reviewing other post, the next thing I see would be the crank sensor?
Is there any way to test it?

thanks

I Had the same problem with my 92 royale. After checking all the other things it finally came down to the cps (crank position sensor) It's all good now.

if you can get it to a shop and they put it on a diagnostic the code should show up for the cps if that is the problem

yes...it was the crankshaft sensor....Had a tough time getting the harmonic balancer bolt off...Finally did, installed the new sensor..It's running great now
