Subaru 360!2strokebloke 03-05-2003, 06:06 PM Has anybody here ever seen a Subaru 360? I have - lots of them, and I own 2. For those of you who don't know - the Subaru 360 was Subaru's FIRST mass produced car! It has a 2-stroke engine that burns a mixture of gas and oil at a 100/1 ratio. That engine is a 356cc air cooled inline twin - mounted transversely at the rear. 25hp @ 5500 rpm. It is smaller than the old (real) mini - and cooler too. It gets about 55mpg, though ads claimed "up to 66mpg" and nobody believes that it's a Subaru when they see it! Suicide doors standard. 1969 Subaru 360 sedan, 1970 Subaru 360 Young S. Thanks. 2strokebloke 03-06-2003, 11:16 AM http://www.subaru360.com/Gallary/9_ebisu/02.JPG This a 360 participating at a vintage race in Japan - it is the original Subaru.
