Emergency Fix on '93 Delta - Releasing Tensioner

Son's girlfriend has an overheated car in our driveway. It's a '93 Olds Delta, Vin L type Engine, 3.8L V6 (3800 Tuned Port). A short hose just under the alternator is leaking badly. I'd like to repair on Sunday (tomorrow).

How is the serpentine belt tensioner released? 19mm socket to the pulley bolt or is there a hidden place to insert a socket extension (3/8 square bit) to release the tensioner? Here's a picture, wondering if the hole up at the 11 o'clock position is part of the release?:

Looks like an easy repair -- undo the belt, unbolt the alternator and replace the hose underneath.

Any help/advice is appreciated?

Thx

All you have to do is put a socket & pull-bar on the pulley bolt and lift it until you can remove the belt. Are you sure the hose is leaking under the alternator, or is the plastic hose fitting cracked? Click Here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=764169)for more info on that subject.

In addition to the items mentioned by Bnaylor above, your pic is too large! Try reducing the size to no more than 600X800 pixel before posting in the forums. Thanks to BNaylor for putting this thread in the proper section!

Thx guys - sorry for the mult-posts (didn't realize this large web site was that moderated - won't do again).

The hose appears to be leaking right in the middle betweent the two fittings. It's possible once I get it apart I'll find the barb is busted too?

(didn't realize this large web site was that moderated - won't do again). Moderators on AF are few and far between, however, at this particular time of the year, we are expecting our annual increase and 2nd quarter bonus, so therefore, we are all more motivated!
