Going to be picking up a cheap 96' Cavalier today, it was in a small accident and got hit in the front passanger side bumper.
There is a small electronic module that took a hit and possible something else is missing judging by the hanging (what looks like vacuum hose) wires and hose.
Anyone know what's in this location?
Thanks

That would be the car's ECM-- just the entire brains of the car is all---and the vacuum reservoir for the internal mode positions of the climate control....

Ok, if it's the ECU then the car is a zombie!
It starts and runs just fine for the most part except the ETS and Check engine light is on. Codes are showing for (TPS, MAP, ETC Sensor, Bank 1 Lean).
I didn't get a real good look at the box but there were some wires disconnected and a hanging hose.

Nope sorry guys I was wrong. It actually was going to what looks like a purge solenoid. It was just a small module with 2 wires and a vacuum hose going to it.
Oh and the horn does work but it sounds real sad! lol
