2000 Jimmy Handling is not right

OK so I replaced all the ball joints, left front wheel bearing. Still this car wanders side to side when driving. When I hit a bump in the road it seems to bounce longer than it should.
I drove a 97 Bravada with 122K miles this weekend, rode tight and very responsive, that was 10 times better than my 2000 with 70K. Whats up with this vehicle? I just purchased. Could it be cause I might, not sure????have the towing package? Even my mechanic said he has driven these vehicles with 150K that felt better than that.
Could it be the shocks??
I thought that the Bravade and Jimmy had the same suspension.
Could it be the tires? Shocks? Alignment??? It just pounds when I hit the bumps in the road. I just will not keep this car the way it is. I actually do not feel completely safe. Does anyone know about tightening the steering with that small screw on the other side of the Pitman arm??? My old van had this adjustment.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!

There is no adjustment for things like that.
Leave that adjustment as is.
Springs /torsion bars carry the weight.
Is you front end saging or hitting bottom/bumper pads?
Shocks take shock of the bump out but do not hold up the front end.

How are the tie rod engs and drag link and idler arm?
Also the control arm bushings?
Check and replace all lose or bad parts.
Are your tires good and matched up good?

Has the front end been aligned good?

I would find a good alignment shop and have the alignment checked
Most good places do but ask them to check for bad front parts before alignment.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

I had problems with my 97 wandering. After I checked ball joints, tie-rods, control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, wheel bearings, shocks, idler arm, and pitman arm ... it turned out to be the wheel had lost a balancing weight after I got new tires. I took it in to have the wheels re-balanced and everything was fine.

OK so I found out the steering gear box sector shaft is bad.
