Hey my 1999 mitsubishi eclipse spyder is acting very strange. It runs fine when warming up, but as soon as it is warmed the idle starts going crazy, revs up and down to the point of cutting off. I checked the spark plugs, wires and eveything seemed fine. I was maybe wondering if it might be the distributor? fuel line? I am completely clueless and broke at this time. so any advice would make my day! =0) Thanks guys:screwy: :banghead:

Well I know its not the distributor because your car doesnt have one.

Usually idle surge is caused by un-metered air(vacuum leak) that causes idle to go up, then the ECU tries to compensate by cutting fuel. Start by looking for a busted vacuum line.

Depends on the make. My old RFL leaked ALL the time.
