86 olds 88 no spark

i have an 86 olds 88 with a 3.8,bought it as is ,wont start.has fuel but no spark....changed the coil pack and crank sensor ,did not help,was thinking the timing chain but it has compression,,,any help would be appreciated

Get a scanner on it and see if you have cranking rpms, post back.

fixed it...the crank magnet was broke off
