quick run...tc vs rsxsilentscreams85 05-08-2008, 06:42 PM this afternoon i was driving home from school. destination: i was craving a tempura shrimp roll.:iceslolan traffic was very light so i was cruising around 45 ish and passed up a clean white rsx. stock body. but he had intake/exhaust. the rear was debadged so i figured it was more than likely a type s. i looked over, and he wasnt making eye contact but i knew he was gona go for it. light turns green and were off. dead even around 40 he pulls a little we hit 50 and he lets off to make a right. pulling maybe a fender or so, not much. conclusion: that was absolutely not a type s, and if it was homeboy could not drive. that is all MZR_47 05-08-2008, 09:08 PM most likely not a type S, i hope that people cant be that bad at driving. Though it is possible. We have a few RSX-Ss up here that are debadged, so I would have assumed the same thing probably :) You can pretend it was a type S and say that you are a damn good driver. Or supercharge the TC and some other mods and go race a real type S haha silentscreams85 05-08-2008, 09:21 PM Or supercharge the TC and some other mods and go race a real type S haha ya i considered that. but id drop 3k just for a s/c and it would still be kinda slow. (slowmatic trans.) would rather get a quicker car stock :) soon MZR_47 05-08-2008, 09:29 PM yeah very true. Sell the Tc and buy yourself something boosted. Depending on your budget, that is. SRT-4 maybe? Not really sure what you would be in to but you have a pleathura of options available to you. Make a good choice and do it soon! i want stories of you romping on people. silentscreams85 05-08-2008, 09:47 PM thanks man. im leaning towards an 04-07 wrx/sti. maybe even a legacy gt + cobb stage1 = good times indeed :) MZR_47 05-08-2008, 09:56 PM yeah an STi will be my next vehicle, no matter what. Been my dream car for years. Just cant afford that kind of car payment while still in high school. A few years and I will have one. I do love Legacy GTs, they almost look meaner than the STis, plus you get that added sleeper aspect to it. Nobody expects a legacy to romp them like that would. silentscreams85 05-08-2008, 10:30 PM Nobody expects a legacy to romp them like that would. my thoughts exactly. u just got owned by a family sedan  haha good times MZR_47 05-08-2008, 11:26 PM lol yeah man :) all about the boxer engine son. grocery getters with balls are pretty damn sick if you ask me. Chiquae07 05-09-2008, 01:16 AM this afternoon i was driving home from school. destination: i was craving a tempura shrimp roll.:iceslolan traffic was very light so i was cruising around 45 ish and passed up a clean white rsx. stock body. but he had intake/exhaust. the rear was debadged so i figured it was more than likely a type s. i looked over, and he wasnt making eye contact but i knew he was gona go for it. light turns green and were off. dead even around 40 he pulls a little we hit 50 and he lets off to make a right. pulling maybe a fender or so, not much. conclusion: that was absolutely not a type s, and if it was homeboy could not drive. that is all must have been an auto as well. the manual non type-s's arent too special. just like a normal civic. i drove one and thought it was peppy and a cool car to have, but honestly, it isnt that quick. i think my cuz's auto teg ls is faster than it, but then again im not too sure. lamehonda 06-01-2008, 01:33 AM What you need is a kitted out Forrester XT. There are a few around that make most STIs look silly. The one I drove seemed to get off the line with more agression than my car. Could be that the clutch was a little worn so I kind of dropped it a little fast. Imagine my surprise when all four tires break loose less than 80 yards from the dealership:) All I remember saying is "Oops" CassiesMan 06-09-2008, 03:37 PM thanks man. im leaning towards an 04-07 wrx/sti. maybe even a legacy gt + cobb stage1 = good times indeed :) My IS300 buddy is doing that. LGT, Cobb 1 or 2, and leave it at that. GForce957 06-09-2008, 04:40 PM What's he doing with the IS? CassiesMan 06-09-2008, 05:20 PM What's he doing with the IS? He returned it to stock and is using it as a trade in. Looking to do it sometime in the next few months. He was all but set on doing a full 2JZGTE swap, but he had to many other things that were gonna cost him in the long run, so he said fuck it. He's not looking for all out power any more, just a nice, peppy DD that'll get him to and from work and not have to play catch up at all the meets we went to. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
