4 wheel Lo jumping out of gear

I have only had this car 3 weeks and one problem after another.
Today I put the shift in 4 wheel lo gear. The car started to move and as I hit the gas the car overreved and it seemed like the car was shifting in and out of gear. I have the 3 button option that I think is the 233 transfer case. Im not sure how to read the codes, is it an OBD reader? I have one that I used for my 96 transport.
The 2Hi seems fine at this time.
Another weird thing, when I put the car into 2Lo and put the gearshift into N then up the RPM the car slowly moves forward, is this normal?
Facts: 2000 Jimmy, 71K miles, automatic,
Im worried that this car will give me trouble for life, are these good cars?

Thx

Are you sure the main transmission is not just upshifting in 4W low?
What does it do in 4W low range transfer case with transmission locked in low range on gear shift?

I have a 97 Blazer 4x4 & I had my share of problems when I bought it in March. After working out the bugs it seems to be a good truck. Used trucks are not new. People sold them for some reason. Every used vehicle I have ever bought needed some work.

I just drove it down the street in 2Lo and it seemed ok if I keep the RPM constant. Yea maybe that jumping was upshifting. I never felt a truck with the 4 wheel drive. I put the gear in first and drove and there was no problem, also drove in 4 Hi and that seemed ok.
Curious though if I am pulling a boat out of the water would I use 4Lo or 4 Hi?
Also today noticed a banging at the right front end and thought Oh no not another suspension problem, Im pretty sure its the poorly designed bumper/facia banging around, it bangs when I hit the bumper with a fist.

If it pulls hard or strains the engine or transmission go to 4W low.
But I would also drop transmission down to low gear.
Good Luck
