look under your hood, do you see a little black box that say "abs motor relay?" its by the fuse box, if you have one you probably have abs

slam on the brake pedal when going slow like 15-20 mph if the pedal "chatters" you have ABS

haha...i like the "check under ur hood" response more. easier, an doesn't waste the breaks...u should also have a lil light on ur gauge cluster that blinks "ABS" or lights up w/ that when u 1st start ur car if u do. which model u have? cuz i kno LX/DX doesn't have ABS.

yes racer you are correct, something else to consider early abs systems in hondas had failed(locking) modulator valves so the pedal test also tells you if the system is working.

you could also just look behind the wheels. if you dont have ABS there will only be one line (brake fluid) going to the calipers, if you have ABS there will be another going to the...um..modulator? the ABS thing.

point is, 2 lines for fluid = ABS, 1 line = not.
