I have a 2003 Ford Expedition. The blower motor is great but I cannot get the air to move from the floor vents to the "main" (dash) vents. I have tried changing from "automatic" to "manual and pushed the "main vent" button but it will not move.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

The vacuum motor that controls the vents could be bad or the motor isn't getting enough vacuum to make it operate. Check the vacuum sources at the intake. One could have come off.

I am having the same problem with my wifes 2003 Expedition eddie Bauer. No matter what position I put the manual or auto settings, the air comes out of the defrost vents.

did you fix your problem. if so what was it and how much did it cost to fix.

Hello,
I have a 03 Expedition with the same problem and have fixed it twice.
At the rear of the vehicle passenger side. If you remove the cover from the molding you will see a little white box held in by 3 screws. The gears strip or break and you can no longer control the up/down blower.
I took mine out, took it to local Ford dealer and almost paid $97.00.
Once I took it apart, the gear looks like something you can get at you local hobby shop. I just took my boys broken R/C car and got the gear there. I hope this helps you guys.
