My check engine light is on and it is reading p0441- (Evap System Control System- Incorrect Purge Flow) Not too sure where to start... :banghead: any ideas or suggestions?

its a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.2L V8

Purge solenoid is mounted at the back of the eng on the drivers side. Ck all vacuum lines to it for leaks. Remove it and tap the vacuum ports on a bench or table and see if get any carbon particle. If you do the canister has come apart and the charcoal is plugging the system or possibly keeping the purge valve from seating and holdig the valve open.
