Well this is part of a post from "Crank but won't start". Had my shop run a scan on this vehicle. Their scanner came up with a bad sensor. Somewhere under the dash on the passenger side. Besides being part of the air bag system, he also informed me that this sensor costs about $350.00. Thats all the info I got from him.
I would like to find out more about this thing and maybe find one on the internet (cheaper of coarse) and replace it.
Any comments concerning this sensor would be helpful...

Thanks

Which end are yoou working on?
No start or air bag?

Scanners do not say bad sensors.

What was the code no?

The "No start" problem is no more!

Welp...my shop guy scaned it and came up with a bad energizing (air bag) sensor. The GM parts house said it was located on the passengers side under the kick panel. The local auto part shops in this area did not carry this part. Only the GM part house. It was $365.00 and only in remanufactored form.
I will take a look at the one in my vehicle and see if I can find and fix it.

My shop guy that did the scan only told me that it had a bad sensor and not any codes or numbers.

Any comments on where to get a cheap air bag sensor?

Thanks

We need the code no to know anything about what area the problem is.
Anything else is just throwing parts at it.
I cannot recall any sensors under the dash for air bags.
Did he give you the name of the sensor?
Post back code no for more help.

I will try and get more info from the guy that worked on it. His daughter had a baby and he is taken care of that.
I might have time today to look at that module under the right kick panel. Can this thing be repaired? Just wondered where the best place to buy one. Orileys wanted $365 for a reman unit.

Thanks

We need the code no to know what the problem is.
Unless you just want to throw parts at it.
