2003 Cavalier code P0420

What would need to be replaced with a code P0420? The book says Catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)..... Thanks

Hey mate..... If the car is runnning good.... Reset the code and do nothing !!!!
Just make sure you are up ta-date on a Tune-up (plug, wires), Petro and Air Filters....
If that is all good. Go to frigie and take out a long neck and have a "Rip snorter" of a day !!!

Hi,
Thanks for your help. Being a Auto Body tech I am not up to date on modern cars. The car belongs to my sons freind. I will check the plugs and wires and filter. Now off to kill the rest of that 12 pack.

If that don't work try an 02 sensor bank one is pre catalytic converter I think?
