I have a cavalier that has been down almost 2 years just put in a rebuilt motor and now i have no spark. I have changed the coils, crankshaft positioning sensor, icm, wires, and plugs. All wires are hooked up as far as I can tell and have voltage from pcm to icm. Oh yeah and good continuity from cps to icm. Already reset theft system. Anybody got any more ideas cause I'm all out.

Its a 98 cavalier with the 2200 motor. Been bored 30 over port and polish and swap from a automatic to manual. Still has the stock wiring harness, so the tranny plugs arent hooked up. Modified the neutral safety switch so it would work with a clutch switch. Thats about it, Ive been trying to get it running for like a week now and no luck. Also just found out today that there is no power to the OBDII connector under the dash. I leave for Iraq in 5 days and I gotta make this thing run before I go. HELP!!!!!!!

Since the DATA link ( OBD II ) and fuse block are under the dash, is it possible you damaged some wiring while hanging the clutch? Also have you checked all fuses, under dash and under hood as well as any relays that sre tied into the ignition and ECM?

check grounds as well the ground completes the circut back to battery .Fusable link to starter? My car had two ecm fuses one at the drivers door and one in the engine compartment.

A story for you had a car that would not prime when key was on got another ecm would not again ,got another ecm it would and the two that would not were rebuilt with same blue sticker. that is the sort version . Morale check all parts again as even new parts can be bad . Like my tps for the same car new out of box.

Check the wiring harness under the hood to make sure it is plugged in completely and run the harness through the engine compartment to make sure you don't have it pinched anywhere.

hey pancho, check to make sure your oil pressure swith is plugged in. and find out why obdII DOES NOT HAVE POWER. find out if the connector gets its power from the computer. i think it does. the injectors may also be fired by the computer. i had one computer bad so it wouldn't start. toivo

I talked to Chevy today, apparently you have to get the computer reflashed since its been out for so long. Other than that everything you guys suggested checked out good. Got the OBDII to work had a ground on the headlight wiring harness not connected that fixed it. I scanned the car and it doesn't read any RPM's while cranking. FUN. But it's definately the best looking one ton paperweight I've seen lately.
