95 blazer stalls while driving on the freeway

Hi,

I have read elsewhere about possible fixes for this type of problem, but the bad thing is, I did not read anywhere that found a solution to this stalling problem.

Is there a logical order of progression to diagnosis why this stalling happens while driving?

I am a little leery to just allow a $95 an hour mechanic to start replacing parts.

Help... please.

Welcome to AF.
It will need checked out when it does it to find the problem.
Also a basic tune up and fuel pressure check and code check can help find problems.
How many miles on it and when was the last good tune up?
Any check engine lights?

A good 95$ hr. tech/mechanic does not throw parts at them but he usually spends or should spent the first hr/95$ ckecking it out.
And as said he needs to catch it acting up to check which sometimes takes over a hr.

I would suggest you look around for a good repair shop.

Tips on finding a good repair shop.
Check around Ask around
Word of mouth.
Family friends coworkers neighbors business people and delivery people.
Mailmen and parcel delivery people get around and notice a lot of stuff.
Even a good parts house knows what shops are good and not good.
Chamber of commerce and better business bureau and city hall.
If you find a good referral to a repair shop go look them over and talk to them.
Look for a clean looking busy place with nice people running it.
Ask a few questions and ask about their qualifications and training.
Not all places have trained tech/mechanics.
If they do not find a place that does.
Even all dealers do not have all trained techs/mechanics.
