There's a 92 Park Ave in mint condition for sale for $3999. It has 70,000 miles on it. Is there anything I shouldl be aware of with a 92 model that may lead me not to buy it?

Here are a few pics....

Nice car, but not worth 4K! :shakehead

KBB "Suggested Retail" in my zip is $3405.00

Blue Book Retail Value Assumes Excellent Condition
This value assumes the vehicle has received the cosmetic and/or mechanical reconditioning needed to qualify it as 'Excellent'. This is not a transaction value; it is representative of a dealer's asking price and the starting point for negotiation.

KBB "Priviate Party" resale in "Excellent Condition" in my zip is $2630.00.

Excellent condition means:

Looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning.
Never had any paint or body work and is free of rust.
Clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection.
Engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects.Complete and verifiable service records.
Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.KBB "Trade-In" Value is $1850.00 in my zip.

Trade-in Value is what consumers can expect to receive from a dealer for a trade-in vehicle assuming an accurate appraisal of condition. This value will likely be less than the Private Party Value because the reselling dealer incurs the cost of safety inspections, reconditioning and other costs of doing business.

BTW, in my zip, most cars have never seen snow or salt, therefore, usually no rust. :grinyes: IIRC, I saw that car for sale on eBay several months ago, somewhere in NY :screwy:
