ok krew water pump went poof and the first thing was trying to figure out where it is on this thing. so I found the pump under the timing blet and it is also a major pulley for the timing belt. well I tried doing it the easy way and ended up screwing up the timing and, I am not a newbie at this but trying to retime this rig is a pain in the butt. I think I figured it out but am gonna recharge the battery first and try again in the morning. I did go to the library and got the coles book on this car and followed directions for timing. the first couple of tries I failed and I hope tommorrow morning it fires right up so I can put the rest of the car back together.

I just got a quote on my timing belt and pump replacement plust I throuhg in a brake flush
Brake fluid flush: $65
Timing Belt: $335
Water pump $150 (i guess only the part since labor is in timing belt right?)
+ tax

I saw OEM pupm at $100 discounted at $90 so is not $150 a bit high here?

From your knowldege guys how does this quote fare against avg ?
