1985 delta 88 jerks and sometimes stalls

Hello, i would like any help if possible, i have a 1985 oldsmobile delta 88 royale and when i accellerate the car starts to jerk like it doesnt wanna pick up speed and everyonce in a while it will stall while doing this. if i am going up a steep hill i can forget about it cuzz it will just jerk and stall and will only go about 40mph....most of the time if im drivin on flat plain at 65mph its fine. i have no clue whats causing this but if anyone knows please let me know. thanks. because i love her

Welcome to AF. FWD, correct, if so check fuel pressure at the rail for starters, 40 psi is ok.

Also check for any computer codes. Code 41 indicates a bad camshaft position sensor or interrupter, which is fairly common on these cars.
