Hey All ... I went out to my Astro tonight and noticed a thick black pool of fluid under my right rear tire. Got under the Van and the fluid is all over the inside of the tire and the brakes ... pretty clueless about vehicles here so can anyone suggest a starting point for me ...

It can only be one of two things-- brake fluid or rear end gear oil- I would say it is brake fluid- is your reservoir low? is the brake light on? probably have a wheel cylinder leaking- or over extended- have you recently had brake work done on the rear? if so- it may not have been put back together properly.....Gear oil is a long shot-- would have to be an axle seal- but they don't usually go bad......
