Spark Plug Wires

Hey all..So I found some green spark plug wires for my car so that it matches..anyways is it hard to put these on? I contacted the store selling them and this is what they had to say

"Usually on a car the plug wires will come out of the distributor cap and then you will plug these in. In case your distributor and spark plug wires are molded together the wires come with an adapter that will connect the old wire. You would cut just above the distributor cap the spark plug wire push the connector into the center of the old wire,then put on the shrink tube onto the new wire. Then push the new wire onto the connector. The connector should be in the center of both wires and then pull down the shrink tube and heat it and it will shrink into place holding both ends securily together. "

Which one do I fall under?

Well let me give it to you this way....

Its not EASY but it can be done. To me those look like universal plugs which i did make a set for my old 2200 out of an MSD V8 kit. Its hard to tell but your going to need the boot for the plug end to be straight ( no 45 or 90 angles will work), the plug boot that attaches to the coil pac needs to be only a 90 degree boot.

The boot for the spark plug should be already connected for you and you have to use your stock wires to measure for length. Cut them a little longer then needed because you have to trim about 1/2" away to expose the core wire which needs to be overlapped when you install the metal connector inside the boot.

You never said the year and engine ??? I could not use them on mine....96 2.2L...they look to short...unless you do as the instructions noted...you would cut/splice the old wire from the coil pack to the new wire with the spk plug end. So, if I used the green wires, it would be green from the spk plugs to about the firewall ,and then after the splice it would be black (original wires) going to my coil packs. I assume the adapter also has a double crimp connector to make good electrical connection.

OK....have I missed the boat here ??? or ?

Sorry! lol..I forgot the most important part. 97 cavalier LS 2.2L. And the wires are 24' long..is this good enough? And thanks alot classic!

Take off the longest plug wire and measure it from boot to boot.... Then you will know to do as "classic" noted or splice as per the directions.

Personally, I would not splice them...if they do not fit as one piece, I would not do it...but that is me.

If you want green wires....maybe they sell a covering ???
