New Sentra SE R torque peak...Vtec 4 Life 04-07-2008, 10:28 PM Wassup guys. I was looking through the specs of the 07-08 Sentra SE R. I notice that the SE R torque peaks at 2800 rpm whereas the spec v torque peaks at 5200 rpm. Can anyone explain to me how this is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys. slideways... 04-08-2008, 12:44 AM engine tuning. Vtec 4 Life 04-09-2008, 09:48 PM Oh ok. I thought it had to do with the CVT transmission. slideways... 04-11-2008, 06:20 PM that may have been a motivating factor for tuning the motor to make power at lower revs, but the CVT in itself does not affect it. Vtec 4 Life 04-12-2008, 12:13 PM I would just like to thank you Slideways for taking time to help me out. I really appreciate it. Ok I got it now. So the CVT was probably one of the reasons for them tuning torque that low, but not the cause. I was thinking that maybe they really modified the CVTCS to achieve this. Could that be? Also I read that Nissan incorporated a special "resin high flow intake manifold" onto the SE R motor. Do you know if this manifold is a variable one b/c I know variable manifold yield low torque as well as high end. Thanks once again. Vtec 4 Life 04-13-2008, 07:59 PM Nevermind, I did a good amount of research and found the answers to my questions. But again, thanks a lot slideways. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
