Not really. I did replace the jury-rigged intake that came with the car with a proper CAI that I customized myself. Got other things to spend my money on - like my family. :(

I SPECIFICALLY told Igor, when I talked to him on the phone, when all that shit 2 years ago came about, that the inmates he had running the asylum are going about it all wrong.

They were running this place as a business, especially since the admin was a paid employee, when what made AF so successful was that it was a community.

Although the 300bhp V6 version seems more appealing, especially with a base of 25K, I think the one with more overall potential if you're into modding is the 225bhp turbo four. Especially if the motor is indeed a 4G63T variant, a motor that Hyundai has used before (without the "T"). Cool thing is, that one starts at around 19K.

Both will also have LSD and 6-speeds available, with mention of a very handling-oriented suspension (they used the E46 M3 as a benchmark for the handling).

That's actually not a detriment to me. I've always thought the last-gen Tib to be a good-looking car that was wasted with a weak drivetrain, and FWD.

I was hoping it'd come out this year, but since they're calling it a "2010" I'm anticipating it to be out in either Spring or Summer of '09.

I agree with you carrrnuttt, the turbo 4 is the one I am liking best, with the 6 speed. Pretty heavy for the stock power, but thats where modding comes into play.

It's a proprietary 3.8 V6 that's projected under the new SAE standards to be around "306HP", which means, if it's anything like the '07 350Z's "306HP", it's more like 270 to 290 to the wheels, depending on the dyno. That equates to about 320bhp under the old standards.

Like the biturbo 3.0L from BMW. "300" whp, put on engine dynos they are putting out 330-340.

Or the new GT-R, no way in hell that's making 480...

Yeah, I used to look down on Hyundai's a bit but there are definately stepping their program up. I would definately reconsider.

Stig, those bikes must have been a bit small for you. However, those bikes are a kick to ride just for how incredibley nimble they are. I've seen people that ride those mini bikes with high power motors. The only bad part is, most of them it seems end up breaking the frame because it just can't handle the power and rider weight put together.

Saw your post on OT, good to see some hard data that backs up my thoughts. I like that V spec model coming out, the lap time for it is beastly
