Waddup bitches!carrrnuttt 04-07-2008, 08:37 PM  CivRacer95 04-07-2008, 09:05 PM OH BILLY!! He's back! How's the Maxima? Anything "new" added lately? Polygon 04-07-2008, 09:52 PM WFT!!!!! :eek7: Nice to see you back man! As you can see, this place has kind of died. CivRacer95 04-07-2008, 10:07 PM Slowly but unsurely...it's trying to peice itself back together... carrrnuttt 04-07-2008, 10:09 PM How's the Maxima? Anything "new" added lately? Not really. I did replace the jury-rigged intake that came with the car with a proper CAI that I customized myself. Got other things to spend my money on - like my family. :( I'm probably getting rid of her this year, though. Nice to see you back man! As you can see, this place has kind of died. I see that. I guess the Nazi fucks that forced me to leave this place got their wish. I mean - how much more 'peaceful' can a place get, than to ensure that people leave? :shakehead How are those dickwads, anyhow? They still running the show? VR43000GT 04-07-2008, 10:14 PM Welcome back carnutt! Yeah, AF has definately died down a lot since I first came here. carrrnuttt 04-07-2008, 10:20 PM Welcome back carnutt! Yeah, AF has definately died down a lot since I first came here. I SPECIFICALLY told Igor, when I talked to him on the phone, when all that shit 2 years ago came about, that the inmates he had running the asylum are going about it all wrong. They were running this place as a business, especially since the admin was a paid employee, when what made AF so successful was that it was a community. Ah well. What news though? Do I still have to watch my back against the same corporate bitches, or is it more like the way it was 6 years ago (Where the community took care of itself)? Polygon 04-07-2008, 10:25 PM I think you have more to fear from the giant tumbleweeds that roll around here. You don't want to end up like Neutrino: http://bostondirtdogs.boston.com/Headline_Archives/BDD_tumbleweed_head_perfectuk.jpg That one drug him all the way back to Romania. Polygon 04-07-2008, 10:31 PM He went home to Romania. I still talk to him every week but for some reason he doesn't post here anymore. The rest of the gang, a lot have left, but there are a few of us still around. CivRacer95 04-08-2008, 01:36 AM Like Poly has said, each day, this place is becoming more of a dead zone. Not much to fear if you stay over on this side of the tracks and don't bother with the guys over "there"... Kinda like that movie with the Greasers and the Socs. Eventually...we're gonna have to have a knife fight... carrrnuttt 04-08-2008, 02:09 AM Like Poly has said, each day, this place is becoming more of a dead zone. Yeah, but where's "there?" :runaround: Kinda like that movie with the Greasers and the Socs. Eventually...we're gonna have to have a knife fight... Uhm. I only have swords. That okay? CivRacer95 04-08-2008, 02:52 AM Uhm. I only have swords. That okay? Try a butterknife...usually does the trick. As long as you can break the skin with it, that's deadly enough... So...how much are you going to get rid of the Maxima for? AMGalltheway 04-08-2008, 07:17 PM Knives are for wimps use sticks(Ascrima is fun ) or your bare hands thats the way to do it -The Stig- 04-09-2008, 12:36 AM HA, Arcie. I've been away on Vacation... then you come back. What the French... toast! carrrnuttt 04-09-2008, 12:50 AM HA, Arcie. I've been away on Vacation... then you come back. What the French... toast! Cootie Queen! Lintlicker! Musashi3000GT 04-09-2008, 12:52 AM Good to have yah back son! Hows the family bro? kids driving yet? carrrnuttt 04-09-2008, 12:53 AM So...how much are you going to get rid of the Maxima for? Dunno. I'm kinda hoping to just trade it in for the new RWD Hyundai coupe. I'm just tired of FWD. -The Stig- 04-09-2008, 01:10 AM Cootie Queen! Lintlicker! Dude.. that's awesome that you knew what I was refering to. Worlds best commerical! All this weekend, lines from that commerical were being spewed out by me and my friend while out camping/dirt bike riding. Great times! For those who have no idea what I'm talking about: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Nfh92hKLO6c And... RWD Hyundai... seen pics of what it should look like.. that'll be interesting to say the least! carrrnuttt 04-09-2008, 01:43 AM Dude.. that's awesome that you knew what I was refering to. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Nfh92hKLO6c I think we established a long time ago, that we [sadly] share a sense of humor, to the detriment of the human race. And... RWD Hyundai... seen pics of what it should look like.. that'll be interesting to say the least! The car show concept car: http://autoshow.roadfly.com/wp-content/gallery/hyundai-genesis-coupe-concept/hyundai-genesis-coupe-concept.jpg And the base model displayed in a consumer research symposium: http://image.motortrend.com/f/auto-shows/first-undisguised-shots-of-hyundai-genesis-coupe/7254886+cr1+re0+ar1/hyundai-coupe-side.jpg Although the 300bhp V6 version seems more appealing, especially with a base of 25K, I think the one with more overall potential if you're into modding is the 225bhp turbo four. Especially if the motor is indeed a 4G63T variant, a motor that Hyundai has used before (without the "T"). Cool thing is, that one starts at around 19K. Both will also have LSD and 6-speeds available, with mention of a very handling-oriented suspension (they used the E46 M3 as a benchmark for the handling). carrrnuttt 04-09-2008, 01:49 AM Good to have yah back son! Hows the family bro? kids driving yet? My oldest [stepson] has a year to go. I'm officially scared shitless. VR43000GT 04-09-2008, 03:50 AM Yeah, I have read a little about that. Isn't it called the Genesis or something? Off topic: Hey Matty, just out of curiousity what kind of dirt bike did you tear around in? -The Stig- 04-09-2008, 07:47 AM Honda CRF85R and CRF150R... and a Yamaha PW80. CivRacer95 04-09-2008, 10:08 AM To me, the new RWD Hyundai has the shape of a Tiburon. Still, looks like one of the only Hyundai's I would ever consider purchasing. And a 4G64 variant does sound Sounds like it could be a competitor for all it's worth and a nice pricetag of around 19K... I'll wait for it to come out though. When is this car due out by anyway? Yes, inquiring minds want to know. It looks promising. Also, they came out with another one of those Orbit commercials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WtHRMtftOs Stinky McStink Face! carrrnuttt 04-09-2008, 01:51 PM To me, the new RWD Hyundai has the shape of a Tiburon. That's actually not a detriment to me. I've always thought the last-gen Tib to be a good-looking car that was wasted with a weak drivetrain, and FWD. I'll wait for it to come out though. When is this car due out by anyway? There's more info here: http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/19/new-york-2008-hyundai-genesis-coupe-debuts/ Here's a video of it doing powerslides, and demonstrating its turning radius and the possibilities of its handling: http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/19/new-york-2008-hyundai-genesis-coupe-burning-rubber-w-video/ I was hoping it'd come out this year, but since they're calling it a "2010" I'm anticipating it to be out in either Spring or Summer of '09. GForce957 04-09-2008, 01:57 PM I agree with you carrrnuttt, the turbo 4 is the one I am liking best, with the 6 speed. Pretty heavy for the stock power, but thats where modding comes into play. Welcome back. youngvr4 04-09-2008, 05:19 PM i've ben hiding in a hole cause i had no idea about that car, i too would go for the 4g63t, we all know what there capable of. so what kinda engine is in the 300hp version? RaeRae1 04-09-2008, 05:27 PM Dunno. I'm kinda hoping to just trade it in for the new RWD Hyundai coupe. I'm just tired of FWD. Getting rid of a Nissan for a Hyundai???? are you insane man? edit - ok - after looking at your info, maybe not a bad trade.... I still have a mental block about the Hyundai. carrrnuttt 04-09-2008, 05:29 PM so what kinda engine is in the 300hp version? It's a proprietary 3.8 V6 that's projected under the new SAE standards to be around "306HP", which means, if it's anything like the '07 350Z's "306HP", it's more like 270 to 290 to the wheels, depending on the dyno. That equates to about 320bhp under the old standards. CassiesMan 04-09-2008, 05:34 PM Like the biturbo 3.0L from BMW. "300" whp, put on engine dynos they are putting out 330-340. GForce957 04-10-2008, 12:52 AM Or the new GT-R, no way in hell that's making 480... Chiquae07 04-10-2008, 02:04 AM welcome to have ya back carrrnnuutt. i still got that durango that we all bashed on you about for not having the 4 cylinder mode for? im surprised you still have the maxima. but the car you want to replace it with is a great choice. im just sad that the next silvia will not be a nissan, but a hyundai. VR43000GT 04-10-2008, 02:54 AM Yeah, I used to look down on Hyundai's a bit but there are definately stepping their program up. I would definately reconsider. Stig, those bikes must have been a bit small for you. However, those bikes are a kick to ride just for how incredibley nimble they are. I've seen people that ride those mini bikes with high power motors. The only bad part is, most of them it seems end up breaking the frame because it just can't handle the power and rider weight put together. carrrnuttt 04-10-2008, 01:13 PM Or the new GT-R, no way in hell that's making 480... One rag already dyno tested it, and at an estimated 20% drivetrain loss, it's estimated to have more like 550bhp, and with an estimated 25% loss, which is more likely, considering its drivetrain, it's more like 575bhp. Damn guys. You guys are behind on the motorhead news stuff here. I might just have to start a news thread here and there to catch you guys up. CivRacer95 04-10-2008, 05:43 PM So go ahead and do it, I'll gladly make it a stick to keep us fellow enthusiasts informed. Good idear...
