1985 Cavalier won't start after tune up

I was given an 1985 Cavalier not long ago and it was running decent but needed a tune up. It would fire up on one turn of the key but ran a little rough. It had set idle for about 2 weeks before the weather finally got good enough for me to change the plugs, plug wires, rotor and distibutor cap.
After everything was changed out I went to start it but it wouldn't start. Chevked everything out 3x over but still no go. I pulled the #1 plug and put it in the plug wire and turned the car over to see if I had spark...and I did.
Not sure what else to do. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanx

The battery is strong. Car turns over but just won't start.

Change the fuel filter, check your fuel pressure. Fuel pump could be going south
