When I hit the brakes the lights dim for a moment. The alternator/regulator is new and I had it checked out. The battery is also good but not charging the way it should? Any ideas? Corroded wire?
P.S. Did the upper manifold change, what a job. Change the valve cover gskt's, plugs/wires and thermostat. No more leaks or engine odors! Runs like a top.
Thanks

A split second slight dimming of lites when any load is applied may not be abnormal, check the alt output under load to be sure.

Do the crankshaft and camshaft sensors show trouble codes when they go bad?

Normally the sensors will throw a code.Mine did not throw a code.
The dimming effect you describe sounds like the alternator. The cables could be corroded badly and cause lots of problems.Never really liked side mount battery posts.:runaround:
I had the same thing happen and that fixed my problem.
I never noticed any light dimming with the sensors going out.Just rough idle.
