Where can I get horn buttons replacements?

My car steering wheel is missing the buttons. Looks like they were ripped out. Does anyone know how the horn system works to pass by with some simple home made one? Because nobody seems to be selling these things. And I want to HONK at people!

Now, (Somebody correct me if Im wrong), but I play around with electronics in my spare time. My "Thoughts on the process of making your own, would be, its a momentary switch, normally open. I would also guess its as simple as taking the steering wheel cover off, finding the wires that formally went to your hrn buttons, and sticking a normally open momentary switch from Radio Shack ($3-$10).
Now once again, this is just my thoughts on the process. Im not *sure* about this.
