My dad just bought a 94 custom for $2000 .
Pros:
Mechanically runs like a new car
All new tires
Interior is clean & has power drivers seat
Was bought from an old timer who's husband died
Milage: 57,000
Cons:
Minor body damage.
Paint peeling off of trunk

It sounds like a decent deal to me. I have noticed that some of these cars do have paint peeling problems. I had a 1989 with a paint peeling problem (on the roof) and a 1993 had a paint peeling problem on the trunk (this one wasn't to bad though).
Paint doesn't make a car work though.
What kind of body damage does the car have? Would it be worth it to get all this fixed? (repainted and damage repaired?) Or is your dad just happy to have a car that he can drive around.
I personally wouldn't care about the paint. But my wife would be picky.

There's a small dent in the drivers door that could be pushed/pulled out and the front edge of the hood above the grill is a little pushed in but not enough to have buckled the hood. He is retired and lives alone and just needs to get around town....supermarket etc...He said he doesnt even care about how the car looks he's just happy to have a car that runs good for such little cash for his basic needs. Now that i'm thinking about it......it's probably bound to get beat up more being in super market parking lots :evillol:
