02 Stratus - replaceable odometer bulb?

This is a car I'm looking to buy, the guy sent me some pictures and I noticed something curious in the dash picture. It looks like one of the odometer bulbs is burnt out. Are there bulbs behind this? Or would a guy have to replace the whole cluster?

I'm hoping that maybe there's just a curved plastic cover over it, distorting the picture, but I kinda doubt it. And the idea of replacing a whole dash cluster makes me nervous.

Thanks!

No, there is no bulb behind there. If they kept things the same as my 97 and 00, that unit can be replaced separate from the cluster. If it is not, you will have to replace the entire cluster. It is not hard to replace. The dash is not that hard to take apart, and there are just a couple of electrical connectors on the back of the cluster. I have had to replace the cluster on my 97 because the tach and odometer decided to quit working. When you buy the new part (look in a junk yard because they are about $300 from the dealer), they will tell you how many miles are on the cluster. DON'T WORRY - that is not a factor. The cluster is not what stores the miles of the car! When you plug the new part into the car, it will read the correct miles for your car. That information is stored the the BCM (Body Control Module).
