97 LeSabre door hinge sticks in open position

On my '97 LeSabre, the lower hinge of the driver's door appears to have a broken/damaged catch roller. This is causing the door to get stuck if opened to the widest position, requiring me to force it closed again. My best workaround right now is to be careful to open the door as narrowly as possible--avoiding the outer catch position (sometimes the inner catch position sticks too).

Is there any way to fix this (or at least fashion a more practical workaround) short of replacing the entire lower hinge assembly (and dealing with the hassle of door realignment)? Is it perhaps possible to get a replacement catch roller that can be installed without completely removing and disassembling the hinge? My local Buick body shop is giving a $250-$300 estimate for the job; I would really like to find a less expensive solution, as I am already facing a 4-digit engine work bill.

Thanks in advance for any assistance/advice you can provide.
