94 S10 Blazer 4.3 W won't run

We recently rebuilt the transmission and since then the blazer starts easily but idles roughly and won't run for very long. Also, when its running as soon as we put it in gear and apply the gas pedal it quits.

We've replaced the spider, checked the timing, changed the map sensor and egr valve. It has a new fuel pump we had replaced last year.

We've run out of ideas that could be causing this problem as it was fine before we rebuilt the transmission. We had thought it may be a vacuum problem but recently talked to a chevy mechanic and he said it was more likely a fuel problem and wouldn't have anything to do with the vacuum.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What is your fuel pressure reading? You should have over 60psi with the key on and it should not drop below 55psi after 5 mins. with the key off. If it does, you'll need to open the Plenum and check for leaks. You said you replaced the fuel injectors. What about the Nut Kit? If you can't get above 60psi with the key on. You mite have trouble with your fuel pump or have a pluged fuel filter. Was the fuel filter replaced at time of the pump replacement? Let us know.

We've checked the pressure a few times and its right where its supposed to be.
The fuel filter was replaced a little more than a week after we replaced the pump. Haven't replaced the nut kit.

Blazers are known for funky ignition switches- put a test light on your coil hot input and see if it maintains......

What was the exact pressure reading? Did the pressure hold for at least 5 mins?

The pressure stayed between 58-62 the entire time we had it running and was the same every time we checked it. I wouldn't think it was the fuel pressure, as we can gas it when its in park and its ok most of the time does quit but not often, but when we put it in gear and give it gas is when it always quits.

What was the the fuel pressure when you turn the ignition off. Does it stay above 55lbs for at lease 5 mins.?

The fuel pressure is where it should be before, during, and after running. We've checked it several times and it has always been where it should be.

I would check closely the work that you did. You may not have plugged in something you disconnected. Did you switch some vacuum hoses. Could you have plugged an injector wire into the wrong injector. Usually when something starts immediately after your repair work it was caused by something you did.

Ditto, One more other thing. Do you have a service lights on? Is so, what are the error codes.
