I had my car parked and not running for no more the 3 days, when I descided to let it run for a little today(raining outside). Right after I started it, the engine died. I went and ran the starter for about 5 seconds and the engine just wasn't catching. waited a few minuits, went to start it and started fine but the engine sounded lousy. The rpms kept dipping low for a bit (more frequent and lower than usual) and then go back to almost normal. There was a new sound to the slew of incorect sounds the engine was making. Also there was noticable vibration in the car. When I put my car into reverse and held the brake so it wasn't going anywhere, all described problems got much worse. The rpms kept dipping to the point it sounded like it was going to stall. The vibration got terrible, to the point where it felt very much like the car was on a bumpy road even though it was at a stand still. I started letting my foot off the brake hopeing it would go away but it didnt. You could see the voltage drop and lights dimm with each "bump". What could it Be?

Sounds like a heavy misfire to me. Try running it in the dark to see if there's an arcing from the spark plug wires. The same thing happened to my truck when it has old wires. Sometimes arcing can be heard too as a ticking or snapping sound.

You know, could be. The guy who i bought it off of had a taxi thing going and said that when i got the car safetied and on the road, he could give me some spark wires that he bought but hadnt installed,(m they were in one of his vehicles in a different city). That could also explain the hard starting. Ill go check it out and get back to yu, thanks Pete.
