Hi everybody!

It's Jack again, 1999 Buick LeSabre, 3.8l v6, 160,000, NOT supercharged.

I just got a check engine light, so I went to have codes ran.

It came back as:

DTC P0108
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage

I replaced the M.A.P. sensor, but I am STILL getting check engine light!

(I replaced the pcv valve 6 months ago)

I was going to take it back to have codes ran again, but is there anyone on this Buick forum that can give me some pointers?

Thanks, as always, this forum is great!

Jack

Make sure both o rings are in place for the map and the pcv.

Thanks for the response guys! The only way these sites can work is if we continue to offer advise and own up to our mistakes...

Here goes...I failed to disconnect the negative battery cable before I replaced the M.A.P. sensor, so the on board computer still had codes stored and that was what was showing. I had the codes cleared and now no troubles.

I am used to working on my Camaro (obdI) and of all the sensors that I have replaced, I have not taken the battery off line. Now I know that in cars with OBDII (GM's after 95) you must do this to properly complete the job.

Thanks again guys, this site RULES!

Jack
