Got left out in the cold again :( Engine cranked but no fuel going to the engine. The security light started flashing and the engine check illuminated. By the time the tow truck driver came, the car started & I just looked like a fool & my boss is mad that I was late AGAIN because of this issue.

The passkey system has been replaced or serviced foru tiem already :(

Let me inspect that bill.... *runs off with the cash, leaving my new POS Chevy behind* WoooWOOOOoooooo...... ...

:D j/k

By the way, the dealer said it was a short in the passkey sensor... They said it was my fault because of an aftermarket alarm system & voided my warranty!!!

Complete BULLsheeetz this is because the alarm wasn't attached to the passkey or ignition system! So I had the alarm removed this weekend. When the system "shorts out" again I'm going to drive my Suburban up to the service center, through the wall and cream all the techs with my 5,000 pound piece of crap.

Had the alarm system completely removed. $600 down the tube, along with my remote unlock & start systems:mad:

Now its time to move onto the next problem: rough running engine. When the car is idling, you really notice a rough shake to it... not as bad as running on 4 cyl but bad nonetheless (even ran like this when the car was new). ______ Chevrolet service manager said "I can't duplicate the problem", yet when I put my meters on I can see the spark KV at about half-voltage on one cylinder... and all over the scale on another. Hopefully this will be resolved soon... it might be realted to this problem: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t66536.html (which, by the way, I was told the bulletin is for the transmission and doesn't apply).

When I was younger I would defend American cars at any cost... now I can finally understand why Toyota & Honda sell so well:bloated:

The newer Dodges seem to be better products than Chevy.

The only issue with Chrysler products is the paint (starts peeling after a few years)... but I see that as a benefit: good excuse to get that cherry pearl custom paintjob you've been wanting :D

Dealer says it can't find anything wrong with the vehicle.

When asked why the engine was rocking & running rough, the service manager said "all Chevys run rough"

Hehehe... Its a POS!

I went ahead & called Chevy's corporate offices... like its gonna help:rolleyes: They were very diplomatic & contacted the service manager I last visited. He will call me back shortly, so I'm crossing my fingers & walking blindly into another insulting situation.

The best dealer explanations I've heard so far:

"All Cheys run rough!" :finger4:

"Your car is too new to service!" (yeah, like I'm really gonna wait for the warranty to run out before fixing your mistakes)

Did you figure out if it was related to the Transmision TSB ?

I'll buy it - but I only have like $500 ... take it or leave it. :toothless

I think if it was mine, I would put in a Jacobs electrical ignition, replace the alternator with a 150 amp - fix the TSB issues and see what happened.

Did you check Alldata TSBs on it? http://alldata.com/recalls/index.html

Maybe it's something else?

Didn't have time. The dealers wouldn't address the issue, then the warranty ran out:rolleyes: I tell ya - they got this whole warranty issue figured out - delay, defer, etc - until its too late :bandit:
