I own a malibu (year same as my username). Went to an inspection place. The result came:

Notice : Your vehicle has too many unset(not ready) readiness codes.

Catalyst : Not Ready
Evaporative System : Not Ready
O2 Sesor Heater : Not Ready

O2 Sensor : Ready
EGR System : Ready
Fuel System : Ready
Misfire : Ready
Comprehensive Component : Ready

The inspection guy told me drive for a while down the road then come back.
He inspected the vehicle again, same results. Can anyone please help me.

I have spent bunches of money with this useless car, changed engine gaskets, fuel tank, water tank, you name it ????

I am approaching a fine of $250 in a few days if this vehicle doesn't pass the test. I don't know whom to blame, I just had a little bit of money to change the tyres now don't have anything left. I will need to borrow money again for that fine. Can anyone please help me how this vehicle can pass the test?

Shouldn't GM be shamed for giving a shitty car for us that can only be operated by professionals even to change a tiny switch ????

I will never ever buy any vehcile from GM ever again! If anyone helps me with my inspection, can you please advice. Do I need to buy parts, if so what kind ? The car is in excellent condition; two months ago had borrowed $600 to fix oil leak and water tank. The mechanic did all works.

Am I the only one having vehicle inspection problem with this model ? Please help. I am running out of my money, ideas, and I am in terrible condition. Please help me!:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghe ad::banghead:

I believe the car needs to make it up to freeway speed for a period of time before those sensors will show ready.

Take a drive for an hour or so, getting up to speed. You might want to run by Autozone after that to see if they would check the OBD2 for any codes and sensor readiness state before you go back to the inspection station.
