hi there, i have a 95 park avenue, and the last time it ran, there were no issues. today i went to start it, and after boosting it, it turned over briefly, and stalled out. i restarted it, and it reved high for a few seconds, and styalled out. i restarted it again, and this time when it went to stall out, i pumped the gas, which made it run hard for few seconds, but it wanted to stall. is there something i could repair, change etc, to havevthe car running again. maybe a fuel pump tc?.tyvm in advanc

ps i did put some gas line anti freeze in it, thinking maybe the bad weather recently had put water in the lines. that was no avail.

Why did you have to "boost it", was the battery dead? What is the battery voltage?

hi hot, here are some things i might add. today, when i got it running, in medium to highidle she ran fine, but on low or just normal idel(no foot on pedal) she spudered badly, some backfireing, almost ran like there was water in the line.

Check the battery voltage! The alternator is only designed to maintain a fully charged battery, not to recharge a dead one. The PCM depends on good voltage to maintain proper engine parameters.

hi hot, ok so if i understand you, your saying that the cars battery has to be full, and if its not the battery from the car boosting my car, is not gonna keep the car running the way it needs to be. it has to be my battery on its own. just trying to understand the way this(these newer cars) run. thanks

Glad to here you got it running again! BTW, what "intake hose" did you find loose? Was it @ the intake to the MAF, or was it a vacuum line?

hi well not sur what maf is. but ill describe it this way. the hose (think it has a steel housing), was in the back set in were the rear valve cover is. hope i got that right. its on the break master cylinder side...
