I knew I had to build this car when I seen these new "old' AMT/MPC kits! lol
This is the first time I built one of these kits, the chassis is just generic and wrong but I figure the interior looks decent enough to stick some detail in it.

My kit seems to be missing about half the roll bars:screwy: lol so I made some new ones and stuck em in there.

the green is a bit lighter than it shows in the pics, hopefully when i install some contrasting parts the color will show up better

This is a cool project, I really like your choice of subject. Where do you get all these cool kits from? Your work looks very clean so far.

Robert

P.S.: I´m glad you thought your coice of leaving this place over.

shot a couple coats of clear on the body. i'll let it sit a few days then it will be safe to add the BMF trim without risk of damaging any decals!, then i can stick the rest of the decals on and this one will be complete

Cool livery. I don't know much about the old NASCAR, but I do know this build looks great. Two questions:
1) What did you use for the green (and did you clear over it?)
2) What are you using for clear?

Nice to see you posting work here again (and DaveT posting in the thread as well)! Keep up the great work.

Yeah. What a speedy build.
You do have a daytime job, right ?

Anyway. It's great to see another of your excellent builds.

.

1. i used meadow green from armor coat, it dries up super glossy dont need to do anything to it,

2. i just use krylon clear outa the can still...

update.
I used some older revell chrome wheels and tires .

That blows me away... My experience was that it never really seemed to dry. I did lay it on pretty thick though. Have you ever had any issues with it reacting with decals?
