This code has been popping up p0113 - the air intake temprature sensor i own a 1997 chevy cavalier z24 auto. When this light comes on every gear jerks after i just bought a new Air charge temprature sensor cleared the code and put the new one in and connected it again this code is still popping up and shifting hard any other ideas on how to get rid of this? Classicrocjunkie 03-21-2008, 12:59 PM return that sensor and ask for a new one. If it was ever dropped or mis handled it will malfunction. Seen it happen multiple times. If that doesn't cure it, get a voltmeter and check resistance across the terminals to see if its a crimped wire somewhere. slashius 03-22-2008, 07:07 AM did get a new one and got a voltmeter its v5 on every crimp so its not getting too high of voltage anywhere any other suggestons? yhandor 03-22-2008, 02:09 PM Exchange the sensor first and see how that works, they are very delicate and can't be dropped and the glass sensor cant be touched andrewherickhoff 05-20-2008, 12:14 PM This code has been popping up p0113 - the air intake temprature sensor i own a 1997 chevy cavalier z24 auto. When posting with you problem it is best to start a New thread/post. And someone will help you. And give all info year make and mileage and engine. Also info on. Did you also replace yours or just gitting the code? Is it pluged in? MT jakegday 05-20-2008, 04:08 PM is it possible the sensor is perfectly fine, but what it is "sensing" is the problem?? discnik 05-20-2008, 04:29 PM Did you get 4.6 to 5 volts on the tan wire, (signal wire), ? If you did this indicates a bad sensor. If not then you have a short to ground somewhere along the signal wire to the PCM. Also check the sensor ground .
