Need help identifying these oil leaks

I posted pictures to photobucket so hopefully these should work. I've been losing a lot of oil lately. Two of the leaks look like they are close to the transaxle. I can't figure out the source for the oil that is sitting on the air hose to the intercooler.

I wish I knew more about the 1g's cause those pics are pretty good and you deserve some help. So I figure maybe you will get some help from this bump and someone who knows them better (thor maybe?). I know that sometimes when the turbo is on its way out you can get oil into the intercooler pipes (happened on my buddies t25. Anyways I suppose it could be coming from inside the pipe and leaking out at that junction but it isn't that lilkely. But it sure is easy to check. Just take off one of those clamps and look to see if the inside of the intercooler pipes is coated with oil

Thanks for the reply. My car is actually a 2g with a turbo that's about two years old. It was replaced by the dealer after an accident. As far as the intercooler pipe, I was thinking that just air flowed through it. I guess that's why I was a little confused about how the oil ended up there given I can't see any real source.

As far as the other two leaks. I'm wondering if the first is a rear main seal. The second one appears to be coming from the transaxle but once again I would expect transmission fluid instead of engine oil.

Please correct me if Im wrong.

Any help is appreciated.

Oil leak 2 looks like your t-case yoke seal is leaking. Get it fixed under the recall at a mitsu dealer.

They all seem to be on the rear side of the engine. One shows oil covering the flywheel cover (1a). See if you can tell what fluid it is. Tranny, t-case or engine oil? Could be oil pan too. Rear main is also a spot but that might make your clutch slip or chatter as it coats the flywheel/clutch disk.

I didn't realize there was a recall on the yoke seal for the 2Gs. I thought it was just the transfer case.

If as a result of yoke seal leaking that the t-case goes bad, they have to replace it for free.

So I called my local dealer and they said that could not cover the cost of the recall. I also called mitsubishi motors and they said the same thing. Does anyone know if this true?

thanks

By LAW they're required to cover the cost of the recall, thus being a recall. Stick it to them

I forgot to mention that I have a 95 eclipse and the car was inspected once when the recall first came out. From the threads, it seems like this should not matter, but I want to make sure before I pick a fight.

Was the recal for a specific year/trim or was it for all 2Gs?
