Cant get into any gears

Transmission problem

I was driving threw the woods one day and needed to use 4wd (http://www.2carpros.com/forum/1993-ford-f150-got-stuck-in-4wd-and-now-cant-get-into-any-g-vt115810.html#) and so i put it into 4wd like any normal day but it was a little harder and i had to play around with it for a few minutes to actually get it into 4wd. then when i went to take it out of 4wd i cant it is stuck it just doesnt shift into 2wd and when i go to shift it into 2wd the 4wd light goes off so i think i have it in 2wd and then when i shift into drive my truck doesnt move it acts like it is still in netrual i have no idea what is wrong with it i have tryed to get underneath and figure it out and the truck shop wanted me to pay $3000 for a new transfer case so if there anything you guys can help with it would be very helpful:banghead:
