On a 98 I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the window glass(driver's side) coming off of the plastic bracket it sets in. It looks like it was gluded before. Not sure if I need to drill out the rivets and replace the whole shebang or try to readhere the glass to the plastic bracket/track.

Any takers???

i had a problem with my glass coming out of the clips, i stoped at a glass shop and they sold me a caulk size tube they use to windows in the car with it held for about 2 months, so i got 2 part epoxy at autozone that works on glass plastic metal and it has held great for 2 years now

You might try bonding it with JB Weld. It is a 2 part epoxy. Just mix equal amounts of the steel and hardener. Let it dry for 16 hrs. and you're good to go. I've used it on a radiator and cracked transmission housing. Make sure the surfaces have been cleaned with alcohol prior to bonding. Make sure you don't use the window too soon before it hardens.

Haven't taken it apart yet but was wondering-pull out the glass and clips and glue it together then get the mess back in there some how, or do you have to glue it in while it is still in the door?

Thanks for the help.

Great post! Same problem on my '05, drivers side window. I picked up Caulk and super-glu, but haven't tried them yet. Looks like I will go back and get the 2-part epoxy instead. Thanks!

Almost a year later, and window is still holding strong. Definately reccomend the epoxy!
