Nice work on a great model that I have in my to-do pile.

I notice that you have chosen to apply the Vodafone sponsorship (I really like the Vodafone livery, as it makes the F2001 look more recent than it really is). Of course, Vodafone didn't sponsor Ferrari in 2001, but Ferrari used the F2001 at the beginning of the 2002 season as the F2002 was not ready until San Marino, making your version perfectly accurate still. Just remember to paint the barge-boards white!

Cheers,
Bill

Yes, I'm assuming it's this (http://www.hlj.com/product/MCLDC-153) or this? (http://www.hlj.com/product/S27DC543C) Is there anywhere that still has these? I would like to make mine in the Vodafone livery as well.

had a few hours free today so did some more work on this one i got had enough of c/f decals so i had a play about with a pair of the wifes old tights to make a c/f look on some akward part i like the way it came out i painted the parts blak first stretched over the tights over the pats and lightly spray gun metal over and you have a sort of c/f pattern here are the pictures this is only my first try at this not bad effort

wow, you work fast!

Your paint job is brilliant, very glossy with no texture. The CF looks pretty convincing on the camera pods and suspension, but the pattern on the radiators looks off.

Besides that one little thing, it really looks excellent. Great work. :)

P.S. Lol, did you take these pictures in the shower? :cwm27:

this one is now finished all went well with this kit but my only gripe is the rear body does not fit that well i had to fit small tabs of plastic card under rear body so the fit is closebut ther is a small gap around the bottom lip but the right angle on a photo will hide that !.

I can't tell from your pictures, but did you use the kit plastic seat belts or aftermarket ones?

Anyway, it really looks fantastic. Like I said before, the CF effect looks pretty realistic. I have to try it, it would save me a lot of money and time. :D

By the way, have you tried using a mesh? If you have, which method do you perfer?

yes they are the kits belts a bit thick but they look ok with a bit of weathering i have not used the mesh method yet i will try that on my revell f2005 model when i get 5 mins to see which way i prefer this model was built on a budget i have spent to much on my next build so trying to save money at the mo hence the c/f trick that saved £12 in c/f decals thats another kit
